Book Review: People We Meet on Vacation

Light, fun, and summery, People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry is the perfect escape. You can’t help but love the friendship between main characters, Alex and Poppy, as they not only discover themselves, but what their friendship means to each other. 

I absolutely love Emily Henry’s writing, as her books are quick reads, but also well written. They’re full of adventure and romance, but the characters are also so relatable. In People We Meet on Vacation, the story jumps between the past and the present. The chapters revolving around the past show us the various trips that Alex and Poppy took throughout the years of their friendship. The present day describes how Poppy and Alex have struggled without having one another in each other’s lives and what they do to rebuild their friendship.

This is a great “beach read” (haha, get it!?) and will keep you entirely captivated from start to finish. Overall, I highly recommend this book, along with Emily Henry’s other novel, Beach Read. Both books are extremely entertaining and will leave you anxiously awaiting her next novel!
