Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
BOOK REVIEW: PIRANESI
For fans of The Starless Sea or The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, this book is for you! I don’t know where to begin, or exactly how to write this review, without giving anything away, so I will keep it relatively short. From the moment you pick up this book, you will get lost in the world of Piranesi. The house with hundreds of floors, rooms, and marble statues.
I was not sure what to expect when I first began to read this novel, but I was quickly captivated by it. Piranesi is a truly unique story that is eloquently written. Susanna Clarke depicts the world brilliantly and makes you feel as though you are right there in the house. Throughout the book, mysteries unravel and nothing is what it seems.
Overall, I definitely recommend this novel. Be prepared to get swept away by its words. It’s a quick read and worth it, especially if you have some time on your hands.
