To All the Boys (series) by Jenny Han
Book Review: To All the Boys (series)
Follow the story (and love life) of Lara Jean in this fun, flirty, and adorable series. These YA books make me wish they had been around when I was in high school! What a blast from the past, thinking about high school while reading about all of the mortifying and exciting moments of teenage love. The trials and tribulations of growing up and dealing with mean girls and the “cool kids.” The dances, school trips, volunteering, first dates, embarrassing moments, and first romances. Although, high school seems a LOT different now than when I was a kid.
I liked that each book in the series was equally as entertaining as the last. The themes of not giving up on what you believe in, taking chances, and following your heart were present throughout the entire series. The characters were great too — the author did a nice job of introducing and developing each, without going into excessive detail.
Overall, these books were cute, quick reads that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a light, fun series. Not to mention, the first two movies are out on Netflix and definitely worth watching (whether that be before or after reading the books!).
