Weekend Book Haul

New reads!

Last weekend, Colin, Link, and I went to Rockford to walk around and peruse the shops. While we were there, we went into my favorite independent bookstore, Epilogue Books! If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping in, as they have a wonderful selection. They’re even pet friendly!

While there, I was able to pick up a couple of books that I’ve been wanting to read for a while, along with a beautiful classic. These include: Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, and The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune.

Needless to say, I can’t wait to read these three books! Shadow and Bone has been on my reading list for a few months, and more recently, I found out that it is going to be released as a Netflix show this April. I wanted to make sure that I picked up a copy before watching the show. I’ve also heard great things about The House in the Cerulean Sea, it’s supposed to be a fantasy book, and I’ve read that it can be compared to a mix between 1984 and The Umbrella Academy. I’ll be curious to see how it turns out! As for Wuthering Heights, it’s a classic, need I say more?! Plus, this beautiful leather edition was too hard to resist!

Stay tuned for future book reviews to come…until then, they’ll be on my TBR list! :)
