Book Review: Caraval (series)

The Caraval series is completely enchanting and captivating. Stephanie Garber created an imaginative, fascinating world that you will never want to leave! From the moment I started the series, I could not put these books down. I was enthralled by the plot, the characters, and the magic. 

One aspect of the series that I really enjoyed was that the books are written in alternating perspectives. The books revolve around two sisters, Scarlett and Tella. The first is written from Scarlett’s point of view, the second from Tella’s, and the third alternates between the two. 

These books are spellbinding, the world of Caraval revolves around a game of magic and adventure. Throughout the series, the girls discover what is most important to them, while facing many challenges along the way. While reading, you learn to expect the unexpected! Nothing is quite as obvious as it may first appear. 

The series exemplifies the unbreakable bond of sisterhood and the themes of family, love, betrayal, and forgiveness. The world that the author created is so unique, it makes you wish the series never had to end. 

I don’t want to spoil too much from the books, so I’ll keep this review rather brief, but all I can say is this: you will not regret picking up this series! I highly recommend it.
