Book Review: In a Holidaze

This book is a light, fun, holiday read! Full of love and laughter, it’s great if you’re looking for a quick, holiday romance novel.

Similar to the movie Groundhog Day, the main character, Mae, finds herself reliving the same day over and over. She is given the opportunity to correct her mistakes and pursue the love of her life. Though it’s a bit predictable and silly, it’s still cute for the holiday season.

This book shows the reader that it’s important to be yourself and do what makes you happy. Life is too short to be miserable, whether that’s pertaining to work or romance. I’d say the overall theme is to be true to yourself and good things will come — as cliché as it may sound, “everything happens for a reason.”

I’ll admit, I was never one for Christmas “romcom” books in the past, but it’s been a nice change this season. Though this wasn’t my favorite of the three holiday books I’ve read so far, it was still a good one. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a fun, holiday romance novel that’s a quick read!
